Workshop: From Rough Cut to Finish Line
Saturday, September 26 at 12:00PM | a/perture cinema downstairs classroom
You shot the thing, now what? This session picks up where most filmmaking advice drops off, covering the stretch between a rough assembly and a festival-ready film: cutting with clear eyes, finishing sound and color on a shoestring, knowing when to stop, and getting deliverables right so your work doesn’t stall at the submission window. An emerging filmmaker, an established filmmaker, and a festival programmer bring three vantage points on the same process: the one living it, the one who’s been through it, and the one on the receiving end of the submission pile. Bring your questions and your works-in-progress problems; the second half of the session belongs to the room.
