“Sordid Lives”: 25th Anniversary Fundraiser Screening!
Join us for a very special screening of Sordid Lives, celebrating its 25th anniversary! OUT at the Movies has been chosen by the film’s creators as one of a select few national locations for anniversary screening events, and we’re happy to share two ways you can join in on the evening:
1: A 6pm VIP filmmaker reception, which includes an exclusive meet and greet with writer/director Del Shores, and complimentary snacks and beverages, followed by the screening.
2: A general admission ticket for the 7pm screening, followed by a Q&A with Del Shores, open to all ticket holders.
ABOUT THE FILM: Sometimes it takes a death to bring a family together. The all-star cast puts a comedic twist on a story of unconditional love, acceptance and “coming out” in a Texas family. The eccentric cast of characters come together when their intertwining lives prepare for the funeral of the family matriarch.
TIME: Saturday, October 11th: 6pm VIP filmmaker reception, 7pm screening
LOCATION: Aperture Cinema (311 W. Fourth St. Winston-Salem, NC 27101)
This event is a fundraiser for the Del Shores Foundation, and OUT at the Movies. We hope you can join us, celebrate this iconic film, and support two beloved LGBTQ+ non-profits in the process!
