Saturday, October 5 – 3:30pm – UNCSA ACE Theatre Complex
Directed by Deborah Alice Craig, Jörg Fockele & Ondine Rarey
USA / 2024 / English / 96 minutes / Documentary Feature

Sally Gearhart was a lesbian-feminist firebrand, professor, and fantasy author who spearheaded the 1970s and 80s U.S. lesbian feminist movement. This fantastic documentary peels back the proverbial (and patriarchal) layers to reveal the collectivist reality behind our heroine’s story while exploring the complex relationship between spokeswomen like Sally and movements for social change, as well as the collective (if chaotic) nature of revolutionary movements and their icons.

This film will be preceded by the short film, Seat 31: Zooey Zephyr.

Director Deborah Craig will be in attendance for the Q&A.
