We premiered our newest initiative at the 2023 festival: The Queer History Project. In collaboration with the WFU Documentary Film Program, OUT at the Movies produced two short documentaries, focused on celebrating untold stories about Winston-Salem’s LGBTQ+ history. The aim of this initiative is to serve our community by preserving and platforming history and culture, and to give student filmmakers at local colleges a chance to practice their documentary craft.
