This film is based on a true story. Among recruits to the Austrian Armed Forces, Sergeant Major Eismayer (Gerhard Liebmann) is known as the toughest and strictness of the training officers. To maintain his masculine and unwavering reputation, Eismayer carefully hides his inner self. Mario Falak (Luka Dimic) is openly gay and brazenly challenges Eismayer’s authority. The initial stressful relationship between the two men develops into a true love. When Eismayer is diagnosed with cancer, turning Mario into his caregiver with the same uncompromising regime Eismayer used as a seargeant. Mario has plans for a permanent relationship with Eismayer putting both men in a surprising and awkward situation.
