The Emerging Artist Film Grant

Thank you to all who applied to this year’s round of the Emerging Artist Film Grant! With over 80 applications received (an increase of 300% over last year), our jury has an exciting task of giving thought and deliberation to judging the applications. We will announce the winners on September 20.

About the Award

Launched in 2022, the OUT at the Movies Emerging Artist Film Grant is our festival’s latest initiative to support emerging artists who are dedicated to highlighting the queer experience through film. 

This grant program is intended to supplement the budget for an emerging LGBTQ+ filmmaker in the creation of their film, through the awarding of a $5,000.00 grant, and connection to industry veterans as mentors.

Details about the 2025 competition will be announced in January of 2025.
